Sum up for Trip to D.C./NY

OH....the places you'll go!!

I like taking random pics... this just looks antique to me! One day we wont have these but instead have something like an e-news stand... on the streets..
BoldOk so basically we spent one day in D.C. walking around...we got lost on our way to the mosque. But we got there... It truly was a good experience. A way to see the culture, hear the language, Arabic.
And spend some time lifting up the women I met to "DAD."

One woman who was so kind didn't speak any english at all...she didnt want us to leave...she kept on talking to me as if i could understand her, she was sweet. I don't know what she was saying but the smile in her face was genuine. Rach took out her little language book and I asked the lady to read some arabi c for me. So i got some language class ;)
After that...I went into their library and found some interesting materials of J.C. in their holy book. However most of it was twisting the WORD. big RED flag... and a way to lift them up. Also, There was a dream interpretation book.. and I was curious to see what it said about dreams of J.C. and it was a lot!! It said that dreaming with him would mean prosperity, or healing, or death. It was somewhat contradicting, and it was sad. I stopped and asked the father that our "cousins" would not fall prey to such interpretations. But that the TRUTH of J.C. may be revealed.

The picture above is from a little restaurant that we went to. Our waiter spoke Eng, Span, Arabic, and French!!! They had the best home cooked bread...it was an authentic Moroccan restaurant!

Change of Pace....6 adventurous souls go to NYC!!

SO... basically we planned this trip like in less than 24 hours.... probably not a good idea but whatev.... goes on the craziest things i've done list. We were already going to D.C. for free as a group here. NY is only about 4 hrs away... and bus tickets from D.C. to NY were awesomely amazingly cheap! $28!!! So we went... thanks to awesome friends : Edna, Rocio, Linda, we had a place to stay while over there =) So here goes my highlights....

BROOKYLN BRIDGE
it was cold, but i had hot chocolate....mmmm ...not abuelitas but it worked fine. This was my first time walking across the bridge...after many pics, chocolate being spilt on me, while video recording and singing End of the Road by Boys II Men lol, we crossed the one and only... Brooklyn Bridge...oh yeah i forgot.. this guy...in a suit like the guys from green day was shooting a music video and i'm purrty sure i'm in the background texting... lol ;)

HAIRSPRAY !!!!
Another highlight of the trip was going to watch a Broadway musical. That had been one of my desires...always! And PTL i got a chance to go. We got awesome orchestra seats, and half price tickets. We stood in line for like and hour or two but it was worth it!!! Lol at the musical, it hadn't even started and the lady seating ppl called me out for taking a picture inside the theater... Apparently its a 10,000 dollar fine for a pic...HA...so if you know me, you know I obeyed.. but later tried to sneak a pic after removing the flash and hiding the camera..(come on my first musical and the last...at least for a long while) well anyways it didnt work.. not one good pic. Good thing our memories are awesome. =)

BROOKLYN TABERNACLE
This is competing for best event with Hairspray. Although i think it wins..since it fed the soul. It was amazing. The message was awesome, it was about Tamar and how she's in J.C.'s geneology in Matthew, something unexpected, yet the fact she's in there send a clear message of who G*d is.
I have always wanted to attend a gospel choir service...and once again PTL He allowed me to go!! It was beautiful to see how all different nationalities and races joined together to give HIM glory and honor.

BUS RIDE HOME
i'LL DO YOU a favor and not post any pics up of that. Lol.. it was rainy, cold, and we miraculously found and got on our bus amongst the other five white, non-labeled buses and through the crowd of like 100 ppl trying to get on the same bus. Yes, ppl got left behind, so i heard later. I thought overbooking only happened with Grayhound! booo...

Also, i had BON QUI QUI sitting right infront of me.. it was ruhdicuhlous... girrl....she will cuut you.. lol. The woman was pretty loud the whole way.

Oh and we sat close to the bathroom... whose stench escalated as we got closer to home. yuck. we made it back though.
I appreciate VA alot more. =)
